My Firearms! Marlin 'take-down' semi-automatic .22 seven shot mag with silencer, 4x scope and laser. I keep this beauty in my back pack when tramping or shooting on farms and property where I have permission, as it is completely concealed once 'taken down' and only takes seconds to assemble. It is constantly accurate, although could do with a 3 to 9 scope. For silent shooting, I can manually load CB Longs, although it prefers sub-Sonics. I have this rifle 'zeroed in' at 25 meters, and it will hit a matchbox sized target at this distance. I've shot heaps of possums, molly hawks and wild chickens with this beauty. Of all the rifles, this is the most versatile and practical. Love it! UPDATE: Feb 2007, I put a Sharp 2 to 7 x40 scope on this rifle, as well as 'four bolt' mounts to keep it all steady and safe! Quite a story attached to the day I bought the scope, including a Police Call Out! Go to: My Photos & Stories The first photo shows my back pack with rifle inside. Second photo is of back pack and gun case. Third photo is gun case opened, and last photo is of the rifle fully assembled ready to shoot. Time taken to have it fully assembled is around 60 seconds. Plenty of time to get it ready for a shoot!
All in all, a great and versatile rifle! The major downfall is accuracy due to the removable barrel. I've tried to overcome this by attaching a lazer to the barrel that instantly allows me to discern whether the scope is out of alignment after reassembling. I plan on always having a Papoose in my gun safe! Apparently they are more difficult to obtain in NZ.
