Dedicated to Keeping New Zealand Cleaner and Greener!

Me with large possum
Me with a large possum caught in the bush. At this stage (2004?) I only had air powered rifles and pistols, so we would only trap the possums. These ones were caught in leg traps. We would set a line of around seven traps each night and return the next day to check them. By law, you must check traps every 24 hours.
Sam with another big one
My s
on Sam with another HUGE possum we caught in a leg
trap the same night. We started weighing them. This beast weighed over 3.6kg's!
The most we have caught in one night is seven from five traps. Two of the traps had mothers in them, with joeys attached.
