Dedicated to Keeping New Zealand Cleaner and Greener!

Sam's first ever rabbit, shot at around 40 meters!

This is my son Sam's first ever rabbit! we went to a friend's farm in Kumeu for a shoot. Started with CB longs, but they didn't have enough grunt (very low velocity - around 950 fps), so moved to high velocity bullets (1500fps?). Shot around 5 rabbits and a possum that night.

Great fun!

The 'silver jackets' make for a clean 'through and through' but the shock is enough to kill instantly! Sam used my TOZ .22 Bolt action, with 4x scope and laser sights.

This was the first night I'd seen possums actually 'grazing' on the grass and new flowers - just like rabbits or cattle!
