Hinua - April 2007 - Real fun with real mates!!!

I haven't been shooting for a while. The accident with the bullets has actually affected me deeply. I guess in my mind I am thinking; 'How can I continue to enjoy a hobby that had the potential of putting innocent people at risk, and now that it is going to cost my family through the fine I will receive, how can I continue to enjoy it???"  Deb has been wonderful, and encouraging me to continue shooting and trapping. So, I went on a trip to Hinua with a few friends, George, Sam and Chris.  

This is the 'beautiful' little hut that we slept the night in.

We were sitting having a cuppa and a chat, and about to 'hit the sack', when Chris shines his torch on the walls of the hut, and there are around a dozen of these horrible little wettas all over the place!!!

Did I mention I have a fear of wettas???
