Dedicated to Keeping New Zealand Cleaner and Greener!
I've been very busy at work, and getting our house ready for a massive 50th
Jubilee celebrations - meaning that I haven't had a day off in around seven
weeks! Packing my rifle in my back pa
ck,
I headed off on my bike to the forest on my brother in law's farm in West
Auckland - Riverhead. Within minutes of arriving, I shot this
enormous wild chicken.
I saw it from the road, and parked my bike - stalking it through the woods for around 50 meters.
When it saw me, it actually turned and walked towards me! I didn't have my rifle out of my back pack - so a frantic 60 seconds followed. Needless to say, a successful shoot followed!
Nothing like a good ride and shoot to 'blow out the cobwebs' and leave me refreshed and ready to face the office again.
