Wild Chicken chase in the forest!

My potential future son in law came to stay with us for a week (from the South Island).

We had a break in the weather, and I decided to make the most of the opportunity.

Wednesday morning broke clear and sunny - so Danny, Samuel (my cool 13 year old son) and I hit the road and headed for the bush!

Spotting a massive rooster on my friend's private road, we stopped - threw a rock at it - to get it into the bush - and then the hunt bagan!
