Dedicated to Keeping New Zealand Cleaner and Greener!

   Photo & Video Album

2008 is drawing to an end - and all I can say is - what a year!  Actually, life has been too busy during 2008 - and quite honestly, I am exhausted at the end of it.  My trip to India was great, and I enjoyed the experience. While I also enjoyed the culture of America - it was a very task orientated and stressful event that has taken months to recover from.

My wife and two of my children embarked on a mission trip to Fiji during October - which was a powerful event for them too. But, all this - coupled with some major issues with my physical and mental health - has proven to be quite a challenge.  Anyway, the year's not over yet - so check back soon for more adventures. Rog.

Evening target shooting - then possum & rabbits!

You know, sometimes life can get just too busy and stressful, and the last thing you want to do is make the effort to go shooting! Truth is, that this is often the best remedy for fatigue and stress.

What a cool night I had. I took our new camera and was able to zoom in on a possum in a tree - letting you see the bright reflection of their eyes in the torch!

This was one of the best nights I've had in ages.

Enjoy

Breakfast upon Trinity

Kev organised a men's breakfast and sail aboard his yacht Trinity.

What a beautiful Auckland morning! Only shame, is that I had to leave the guys at 9am to spend the day inside at a First Aid course!

Enjoy.

(Great to see my new friend Mitch come along for the day too!)

Hunting & Fishing the National Parks of NZ

Garth and I hit the road for a week of hunting and fishing in our national lakes and forests.

Fantastic time in Rotorua, New Zealand.

Enjoy!

Taking kids eeling!

My son Ethan turned eight, and we had a 'sleep over' for him and his friends. I took them all eeling at our local park! Heaps of fun.

Mid-winter Chicken Chase in the forest!

This is ONE COOL video of what happens when a crazy Baptist pastor, his cool 13 year old son and his potential future son-in-law hit the bush in search of wild roosters!

Enjoy!

Video of Possum Trapping in New Zealand!

August 2008

While I was in America, I got a call from a television company in NZ who wants to film a short documentary about me and my hobby.

Well - this got me thinking, and then I got out the video camera!

Enjoy.

Evening Rabbit Shoot

April 20th 2008

Graeme (my daughter-in-law's dad) and I went out for an early evening rabbit shoot and bush walk.

Just the one photo - a mid-sized rabbit I shot at around 50 meters.

There were two rabbits feeding together, and I used hypers with my suppressor with inbuilt muzzle-brake.

The beauty of the muzzle-brake is that is disperses the sonic crack - confusing the target from knowing where the shot came from.

The result was that the second rabbit came running straight towards me!

Graeme was shooting an under-lever tube-fed with one of my Slimline suppressors.

We compared the Slimline with my Ultimate - both shooting subs. The Ultimate was about 50% quieter.

A great night's shoot.

Rabbit Shoot at local Vineyard!

Friday 11th Jan 2007 - My good mate Kevin (his boat in some of my posts) called me up to say there are heaps of rabbits at a local vineyard where he is doing some maintenance. After getting the owners permission - I'm off for an evening shoot! Taking the .22 Savage Bolt Action and .177 QB79 for any pest birds! Going by myself this time. Taking a good Cuban!

Loss of a good friend - Jan 10th 2008

I think I've finished my QB79!

What do you think?
